Clunie Reid's artists book for the exhibition: 'Melanie Griffith's Knee'. 19th February - Sunday 3rd April. Clunie Reid appropriates images, symbols, digital photography and text, found in advertising and the everyday abundance of imagery and text we are surrounded by. Revelling in the trashy materials of throw away culture, shiny paper, stickers and tape, her drawings implicitly demand a substantial engagement from the viewing audience, using satire to break through normative readings of stereotypical cliches, insisting on an interrogation fuelled by humour. In a not dissimilar way to a diagram, they allow for "knowledge of the other circumstances which one does not see" (P. Stewart). Take to reprographic centre on a memory stick and get each spread copied at A3 size. 3. Fold each page in half with the images on the outside so you have an image on each side of an A4 size 'page' with the fold to the right hand side (the shop will probably be able to do this but might charge extra). 4. Arrange in the same order as the pdf (optional). 5. Have ring-bound with acetate on front and back (black metal coil recommended).
